  1. We have some people who get up and go tell the people who
    are whispering to stop whispering. They usually tell them to be
    quiet rather loudly!

  2. I rather liked the French priest we encountered in the church at Mont St Michel, who silenced chattering tourists/pilgrims with an almighty SSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I never knew it was possible to ssshhhh so loudly.
