Evie

Evie

Evie, our little tabby cat, has been sitting under / near / on my desk for just about every single cartoon you’ve seen me draw since 2007. She had been ill for a number of months and requiring quite a lot of care, but sadly this week we had to take her to the vets for the final time and say goodbye. Right up until this week she had been full of energy, asking me for food, wanting to play games, going outside then coming straight back in again, seeing what the postman had brought, running away from visitors, and so on. It’s a sad week, and the house is strangely quiet now, but overall I’m just thankful to have had such a brilliant cat.

  1. So sorry to hear the news. Having lost a pair of dogs who have been my ‘Evie-like’ companions I share your sorrow.

  2. So sorry for your loss. Animals have such a profound impact on our lives, and leave such a big gap.

  3. Sorry for the loss of your kitty; pets are family members in most families, take care and be gentle with yourself.

  4. Sorry to hear this Dave. Eva and I have a miniature Schnauzer called Charlie., whose snoring as I write this. He’s been a part of lives for over a year now and it’s hard to imagine what it would be like without him. I hope your memories of Evie help you at this sad time. Blessings, Martin
