I’ve just heard the sad news that Rob Lacey has died. Rob wrote ‘the Street Bible’ (latterly ‘the word on the street’) and was one of the best-known Christian actors in the UK.
I didn’t know Rob well, but did make contact with him a number of times after his visit to Moorlands College in 1997. Rob was doing his ‘People like us’ show as well as a few creative sort of lectures at the college. He came to my college abode and had a look at the cartoons I was doing at the time (He liked ‘Marge for Jesus’ I seem to remember) and gave advice and encouragement. I met him at Spring Harvest a few times after that and he was always interested to hear how things were going for me.
