Christian Resources Exhibition
The National Christian Resources Exhibition is this coming week, the 9th to the 12th of May at Sandown Park in Surry, UK. I’ll be there with my little stall which is number E68 and is in the downstairs bit. Please do come and say hello if you are there and read this blog. Or even if you don’t read this blog. The stall will have some of my cartoons on display, my greetings cards for sale and I will be giving out free postcards with a so-far unpublished cartoon on them. Yes, free postcards.
Licence changes
I’m having to make some changes to my licence structure. First thing to say, if you are an existing subscriber you can carry on paying the same rate that you signed up to originally if you choose to renew your subscription. But, I am no longer going to be offering the lower licence rates that I used to launch the site to new subscribers. This is (1) as I’ve learnt a lot about running a business in the last year and have found that I can’t afford to do so, and (2) because I want to simplify things. So, from now on it costs £35 for unlimited use of everything on CartoonChurch.com in your church publications, or £3 for an individual item.
New Greetings cards
I have 2 new designs which are being put into bags as we speak. I’ll post them on the site after the CRE as I won’t be able to send out any orders before then in any case. I’ll also make my special postcards available assuming all 10 billion of them don’t get taken by eager punters.
Greetings cards in Glasgow and other shops
I will be starting a list of card stockists shortly as I hope to be selling the cards in more places soon, but in the meantime I am pleased to announce that you can new pick up my ‘Young people wanted church to be more exciting’ cartoon in the St Mungo’s bookshop in Glasgow. The address is 52 Parson Street, Glasgow G4 0RX.
Cartoon worksheets
Some of you may have noticed that there haven’t been many or indeed any new Cartoon worksheets lately. The main reason is that I find them really really hard to do. I’ve tried to put humour in alongside something meaningful, but the number of subjects about which I have nothing meaningful and appropriate to say is quite large. Similarly, there are some subjects where I have found nothing humourous and appropriate to say, Easter being one example. So, I’m really sorry. If you have subscribed and the worksheets were the main reason then I’d be happy to offer you a full or partial refund as I am aware that I haven’t delivered. I mean that, do let me know if that is the case. I do hope to do more worksheets in the future though, though I may need some help. Anyone feel like meeting up somewhere like London for a day to think up worksheet ideas? I’ll buy the coffee.
Next week
I have cartoons to be posted by the autoblogger at 8am each day as I may not be around. Please be aware that comments on the blog may take a number of days to be moderated, so apologies if your comment doesn’t show up.
