Bill Wilson, the chap in charge of America’s largest Sunday School, is coming to Essex to explain how to do it, reports the BBC news (no webpage online at present). His hosts will be the ‘Bishop Michael Reid Ministries’ ‘Miracles Healing Faith’ Peniel church in Brentwood, who have this fairly limited page online about it. Pastor Bill’s own ‘Metro Ministries’ site is here (Flash, popups). Bishop Michael went to see Pastor Bill the other year – here is his report. Of particular interest is the following:
We arrived at about two o’clock on Saturday morning and had to be on the bus with Bill for eight o’clock. Bill drives his bus on a specific route. He has always taken this route. He uses a megaphone and yells to get the children’s attention because many of their parents don’t bother to get them up. There is a siren on the bus and the minute they hear the siren the children come running out of the door.
People of Essex. When you hear the early morning siren do not be alarmed. It is just the wake-up call for Sunday School.
